History of Can Xaran
The origins of the Can Xaran inn, next to the industrial canal, date back to 1886A family legacy that has lasted for five generations, offering a exceptional service, friendly treatment and a good repertoire of home cooking, with special prominence of women in the family.
Throughout more than 130 years of history, its tables have welcomed generations of Manlleuencs, as well as prominent personalities such as the cyclist Miguel Indurain or the singers Nino Bravo and Julio Iglesias, thus consolidating its reputation as a reference for home cooking and hospitality in the area.
It was a renowned inn on Vendrell Street. In addition to the inn, they were farmers and had fattened cattle. They farmed land at the Can Vilaró and Can Ramisa threshing floors. They also operated a transport service for construction companies: gravel, stones, and river sand.
